CORNELIUS Thomas Samuel McFadden, 83, passed away Friday, Jan. 17, 2020, at home in Cornelius. He was born Aug. 21, 1936, in Euclid, Ohio to Merle G. McFadden and Ethel (Reynolds) McFadden. His sister was Joan M. McDurmon. He attended WVU, where he played football, defense end, and he graduated from Baldwin Wallace College. He married Janet Humphrey McFadden Jan. 15, 1961, in Parkersburg, W.Va. He served in the Army during the Korean War, where he was awarded a medal of good conduct. He worked as a general contractor for many years. He truly lived life to the fullest. He was a family man, good friend, honest businessman, and a respected voice of reason. He always brought lots of laughs and a unique sense of humor to everyone who was around him. He will never know how much he is truly loved and already missed. He is survived by his wife, Janet Humphrey McFadden; sons, Michael James (Paula) McFadden, John Thomas (Christina) McFadden; daughter, Diana Lynn (Douglas) Randolph; grandchildren, Nicholas G. Pugh, Morgan A. Randolph; brothers-in-law, Steve Humphrey, Michael (Connie) Humphrey; nephews, James McDurmon, Dana Humphrey, Peter (Jodi) Humphrey; nieces, Mimi (John) Martz, Eliza (Daniel) Mross, Rachel (Daniel) Geske; and several great-nieces and -nephews. A private memorial service was held at the family plot in Parkersburg. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project in Tom McFadden's name.
