Stokes County planning board special public meeting notice

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Location: Stokes County Commissioners Chambers, 1014 Main Street, Danbury, NC 27016

Purpose: The Stokes County Planning Board will hold a special public meeting to consider proposed text amendments to the Stokes County Zoning Ordinance and to formulate recommendations to the Stokes County Board of Commissioners. The following subject will be considered:

• Staff-initiated text amendments (Amendments A–S) — proposed amendments addressing conformance with N.C. Gen. Stat. Chapter 160D, terminology corrections, conditional zoning procedure updates, M-2 Heavy Manufacturing District standards, use table classifications, a new definition of “Data Center,” and a new definition of “Site Plan” with consolidation of development review standards.
• M-2 Heavy Manufacturing District — proposed operational performance standards (proposed §92.5) — a companion document to Amendment P setting forth detailed operational performance standards for the M-2 Heavy Manufacturing District, including noise, vibration, air quality, lighting, electromagnetic interference, and stormwater criteria. Presented for board consideration and possible action.

Notice compliance (N.C. Gen. Stat. §143-318.12): This notice has been (1) posted on the principal bulletin board of the Stokes County Planning & Inspections Department, (2) delivered or e-mailed to all parties on the special meeting notice list, and (3) posted on the Stokes County website — each at least 48 hours prior to the meeting. Only business related to the subjects stated in this notice may be transacted unless all members are present or those not present have signed a written waiver of notice.
